The NATSP's mission is to conduct research and analyses to help the government and non-government organizations, through collaborative partnerships, to develop and improve the national preparedness and response programs as a last line of defense.
The NATSP provides state-of-the-art training and education to public health professionals, first responders and communities to prepare for, respond to and recover from natural and human-generated disasters, including terrorism.
Collaboration is the cornerstone of our mission. Together with Government organizations, American Red Cross, Salvation Army and Other volunteer organizations we provide direct assistance to individuals, families and coordinating community volunteers’ assistance in the event of a disaster or mass casualty event.
The NATSP promote international nuclear safety and nonproliferation of CBRN materials.
